China’s timber market shows signs of recovery

In the third quarter of 2024, China’s timber imports reached 15.52 million cubic meters, reflecting a 4% year-on-year increase. The total trade volume rose by 11% to $3.27 billion, supported by a 7% increase in the average import unit price. Logs show strong growth China’s log imports totaled 8.7 million cubic meters in Q3 2024, up 5% compared to the same period last year.
