Sweden: Wood prices skyrocket as demand improves
The Swedish forest owners' association Mellanskog has reported on historically large price increases. The reason behind the prices increases is the rising demand for wood. The price increases vary slightly by region. In Mellanskog's western and eastern operating areas, the list price of pine logs rose by 80 Swedish krona (6.80 EUR), and for spruce logs by SEK 100 (8.50 EUR) per m³.
