Metsä Group’s forest assets in Russia may be sold to VLP Group
Several potential buyers are negotiating the acquisition of enterprises that were previously part of the Finnish giant Metsä Group, Russian media reports with reference to the Committee on Natural Resources of the Leningrad Region. The information was confirmed by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region Oleg Malashchenko, who also said that VLP is one of the contenders for Metsä’s assets in Russia.
