Russian sawmills experience an off-season sawlog shortage; prices in the rise
There were active price negotiations on the Rssiaun sawlog market in October. All sawmills, both small and large, feel the off-season shortage. A large manufacturer of lumber from the Arkhangelsk region posted an advertisement for the purchase of softwood sawlogs of14 cm long, 4-6 m at 4,500 rubles/m³ (excluding VAT, at the factory) the equivalent of €45.56/m3.
