Mayr-Melnhof completes acquisition of Bergkvist Siljan; becomes Europe’s 3rd sawmill group
The Austrian competition authorities approved the acquisition of Bergkvist Siljan AB by Mayr-Melnhof Holz, one of the leading companies in the European sawmill and wood processing industry, thus completing the acquisition. Mayr-Melnhof Holz Holding AG, headquartered in Leoben, Austria, signed the contract in December last year to acquire the Swedish sawmill group Bergkvist Siljan AB (publ.)
