The Finnish timber market will pick up significantly this and next year, says the Finnish Pellervo Institute PTT). The rise is boosted by, among other things, the recovery of forest industry exports and major new investments. Carrying income of private forests are expected to exceed the figures for the peak year 2018.  “The Finnish timber market is going through an exceptionally busy year. Timber trade will increase significantly, and harvesting volumes will increase as industrial timber use increases. At the same time, wood prices will rise and forest owners'  income will increase, ” concludes research director Paula ...
