WWF files a complaint against Germany for inadequate EUTR implementation
The WWF has lodged a complaint against Germany with the EU Commission because of inadequate implementation of the European Timber Trade Regulation (EUTR). The aim of the environmentalists is to get the Commission to initiate infringement proceedings. The environmentalists have the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE) in their sights, which is responsible for the implementation of the EUTR and thus for the import control of wood from non-EU countries.
