Czech Republic: Forest owners to receive state compensation for damaged wood
The Czech Ministry of Agriculture collected the 2019 applications for damaged wood compensation for non-state forest owners by the end of September. Those affected are entitled to a financial contribution rate of CZK 398/m³ (around € 15 / m³). A total of 10,749 applications were received for a grand total of CZK 5.333 billion (EUR 196 million), which represents an amount 1.33 billion higher (EUR 49 million) than was allocated for this support.
