Downward trend in Russian sawn timber prices continues

The Russian sawn timber market has remained challenging for both traders and distributors in June, with wholesale prices still at low levels. New supply prices for spruce sawn timber from Russia decreased by $10/m3, while the ones for Canadian furniture specifications remained unchanged.  For comparison, new supply prices for spruce sawn timber of furniture specifications from Scandinavian producers remained relatively stable (price fluctuations were +/- $5/m3 depending on the plant). New supply prices for SPF sawn timber from North America also remained unchanged due to the decline in outputs and the rise in prices in the US ...
