Russia’s sawn timber and logs exports fall sharply in Jan.-May 2020
During January-May 2020 Russia’s export of sawn timber made 7.3 mn tons, down 9.8% year-on-year. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, in terms of value, sawn timber export was down 9.1% making $1.7 bn. Logs export decreased by 21.4% year-on-year down to 5 mn cbm worth $353.8 mn, down 26.5% year-on-year.
