South American log supply to China restarts
According to Timber Industry News sources, the supply of logs in South America to China has recently restarted. An export company has just celebrated the first simultaneous loading of three log ships in South America. Log exporters in Uruguay currently load approximately 65,000 JASm3 from Fray Bentos and Montevideo ports shipped to China every week, with an average selling price of US$118-120/JASm3.
