Norbord reduces OSB production; lower demand cited
Since September, Norbord has reduced production at Line 1 of its Cordele, Georgia OSB mill. At this location Norbord operates two OSB lines. The decision to operate Line 1 on a reduced 10/4 schedule until further notice is due to continued poor market conditions. US homebuilding activity has been pulling back since the fall of last year, resulting in lower-than-anticipated OSB demand to-date.
