Rising pellet prices in Germany
The pellet price in Germany rose by 1.4% in September compared to the previous month. One tonne of pellets costs an average of EUR 242.10 (purchase quantity 6 t). This equates to a kilo price of 24.21 cents and a price per kilowatt hour (kWh) of heat of 4.84 cents. The price advantage of pellets compared to heating oil is 26.3% and to natural gas 22.8%.
