The Swedish glulam industry continues to gain market share. The first quarter of 2019 shows a clear increase in sales compared to the previous year, despite reduced construction activity.  "The paradigm shift in the construction industry has been completed, glulam is increasingly emerging as the new first choice," says Johan Fröbel, head of technology and distribution at the trade association Svenskt Trä (Swedish Wood).  Total sales of glulam beams and glulam piles increased by about 6 per cent in the first quarter this year, compared with 2018.
