Record logging in the Czech Republic due to the bark beetle epidemics
In 2018, logging in the Czech Republic increased to 25.7 million m3 . That is the highest value in the history of the country. The unscheduled wood resulted from calamities alone accounted for 23 million m3 and is far higher than the total of 2017, as the Statistical Office of the Czech Republic reported.
