Russian plywood deliveries to the EU on the rise
Russian plywood deliveries to the EU totaled EUR 504 million in 2018, a 13% rise compared to the EUR 447 million reported in 2017. In the twelve months of 2018, Germany (+21%), Latvia (+16%), and Italy (+10%) all imported more plywood than in the same period of 2017. Deliveries to the UK also performed well (+9%), as well as those to Poland. European importers report that availability of Russian birch plywood has been good throughout the year.
