Double-digit drop for US lumber prices in mid-September
As the post-holiday week affected negatively the lumber trade in the US, deep discounting re-emerged in prices last week. Traders noted the market looked similar to the weeks that followed the Fourth of July, as buyers sat on their hands sensing downside risk. Buyers noted ample offerings throughout the distribution system and were content to replenish on a one-for-one basis.
