US framing lumber traders who had anticipated a stronger pace of sales coming out of the Labor Day holiday were disappointed. Sales of dimension and studs were slow across North America, and many prices softened.  In a number of markets, what little demand that emerged was focused on upper grades. Sales to truss manufacturers were steady, and prices were mostly firm to higher. However, the overall pace was lackadaisical.
