EU softwood lumber exports to the Middle East and North Africa fell to 4.38 million m³ in the first seven months of 2026, down 13.8% from the same period last year. Export value declined 14.1% to EUR 1.00 billion, with sharp losses in Saudi Arabia, Morocco and several Gulf markets offset partly by higher shipments to Egypt and Algeria.
