UK: Lumber production up by 5%
UK's sawmills produced a total volume of 3.624m m³ softwood lumber during 2016, 5% more than in the preceding year, when the production of home-grown timber amounted to 3.449m m³. As shown in the latest Forestry Statistics published by Forestry Commission, the production in Scotland also went up by 5% to 1.871m m³.
