In January, prices of softwood lumber in Austria have increased for almost all assortments as compared to December. However, if compared to January 2017, there are some mixed results.   From December 2017 to January 2018, the price increase of 1 EUR/cbm is distributed uniformly.  Year-on-year, especially wide boards (3-6m length) have become more expensive. In other boards' assortments, the lower price limit has shifted down.  Also, the price of edged boards and reserve squared timber is higher.
