Södra trims log prices from February as supply pressure persists
Södra has lowered prices for logs and other forest raw materials across all assortments from 3 February 2026, citing higher supply levels and subdued market demand. According to the company, demand for softwood sawlogs has remained weak across its operating regions during the winter months. At the same time, markets for pulpwood and energy wood continue to be pressured by persistently high supply. Against this backdrop, Södra has decided to adjust base prices downward for sawlogs, pulpwood and fuel assortments. The price reductions apply uniformly across all assortments.
