The wood-products business recorded its fifth consecutive quarterly comparable operating loss, with weak construction demand and changes to its production network weighing on earnings.
Metsä Wood reported a comparable operating loss of €10.5 million in the third quarter of 2026, compared with €6.2 million a year earlier. Sales fell 29.8% to €80.3 million, the lowest quarterly total since the start of 2025.
