Interfor to finalize decision on US South sawmill by mid-2018
Interfor carries on to evaluate a greenfield sawmill opportunity in the central region of the US South. The company expects to finalize a decision on the project by mid-2018. As reported in the company's Q4 and full-year results, Interfor estimates the total cost of the sawmill project, which would produce in excess of 200 million board feet (mmbf) of lumber per year, at approximately US$115 million including working capital and start-up costs.
