French Rougier Group files for bankruptcy, stops activity in Africa
Tropical timber trader Rougier, based in Niort (Deux-Sèvres), with most of its employees working in Cameroon and Africa, filed for bankruptcy last Friday, and his future seems more uncertain than ever. The group said that they have "asked, with the support of its main French creditors, the opening of insolvency proceedings for the benefit of some French companies only from the Commercial Court of Poitiers".
