Finland’s softwood lumber exports decline as North Africa and Asia weaken

Finland’s softwood lumber exports were lower in January–March 2026 compared with the same period last year, with the decline mainly driven by lower shipment volumes.

Based on Eurostat data, exports reached €338.6 million, down 9.3% from €373.3 million in January–March 2025. Export volume fell by 11.6%, from 1.49 million m³ to 1.31 million m³.
