Europe’s timber giants launch global alliance to accelerate wood construction
A group of Europe's leading timber manufacturers, construction companies, forest owners and research institutions has launched a new international alliance aimed at increasing the use of wood in construction by providing policymakers and investors with scientific evidence on timber's role in reducing carbon emissions. The Science and Timber Construction Alliance (SITCA) was officially introduced in Vienna under the coordination of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).
