Austria's Binderholz Group has agreed to acquire Finnish sawmill company Kuhmo Oy, adding one of Finland's largest softwood producers to its growing Nordic manufacturing network. The transaction, which remains subject to approval by the competition authorities, strengthens Binderholz's position in Northern Europe while giving Kuhmo Oy access to the resources of one of Europe's largest integrated wood processing groups.
