Germany's softwood sawmill industry is heading into the final four months of 2026 with production already at its lowest level in more than a decade and another sizeable contraction expected this year. The latest industry forecast points to German softwood lumber production falling to around 18.49 million m³ in 2026, down 9.2% from 2025.
