Swedish roundwood prices fell substantially in the second quarter of 2026, extending the reversal that began at the start of the year. Pine sawlogs recorded the largest decline, dropping 12% quarter-on-quarter, while spruce fell 9%. The correction follows the exceptional rise in raw-material costs during 2024 and 2025 and comes as additional storm-damaged timber, weaker sawmill margins and lower demand for fresh logs have changed the balance of the Swedish wood market.
