Turkey oak trade: New phytosanitary rules, but no import ban

New information on Turkey’s phytosanitary rules indicates that European oak suppliers have not been shut out of the Turkish market, despite the severe disruption to imports reported since August 4. The regulation does not appear to impose a general ban on oak; instead, it introduces stricter plant-health controls, with official inspections now required at the first point of entry into Turkey.
