German Ziegler Group files for insolvency
The Ziegler Group holding company filed for insolvency at the Weiden District Court on Wednesday morning. Talks with potential investors and banks failed last week. The company, based in Plößberg, Germany, employs approximately 3,200 people across 34 locations, with 1,500 jobs in the Tirschenreuth district alone. Lawyer Volker Böhm has been appointed provisional insolvency administrator and aims to continue operations while exploring restructuring options.
