Finland: Versowood to acquire Kissakoski sawmill
Versowood has bought the Kissakoski sawmill in Hirvensalmi. The sawmill owned by Veisto Oy will be transferred to Versowood in July. There are about 20 employees in Kissakoski, they will transfer to Versowood as old employees. In Catakoski, small logs are sawn, which provide the necessary beams and boards for packaging. Production is 120,000 cubic meters per year. Versowood is told that the deal will make production more efficient at the company's sawmills in Vierumäki, Otava and Hankasalmi, and the average size of wood will increase as the production of small logs continues ...
