Prosecutors in Romania investigate Holzindustrie Schweighofer for alleged illegal logging activities
Romanian DIICOT prosecutors and police administration are currently making investigations at the largest wood exporter in Romania - Schweighofer Holzindustrie. The company's headquarters, as well as 23 other locations across the country, are being searched at the moment. Investigators have estimated a damage of about 25 million euros as the Austrian company was accused of having bought wood without any endorsements or with fake records from 2011 until now, and exported it.
