Germany: Wood pellets price increased sharply in January
Wood pellets price in Germany increased in January, due to the low temperatures. Thus, the national average for wood pellets has reached EUR 251.34/tonne, 2.4% more than in December 2017 and 3.8% more than in January last year. A kilogram of wood pellets now costs 25.13 cents, while one kilowatt hour (kWh) of heat from wood pellets costs 5.03 cents.
