Today we pay 86 euros (per cubic meter of logs used to make the highest quality timber), while in Austria we pay 65 euros per cubic meter of the same material, in the Czech Republic 50 euros, in Germany  55 euros, and in Slovakia 65 euros. The price of wood in lumber is 80% of the total costs. While the costs of my company in Romania are already 30% higher, this makes us uncompetitive on the international market.
