Following a favourable 2018 for the Norwegian forest industry, when a total of 10.7 million cubic metres of roundwood were cut for sale, the highest volume in 25 years, the first half of 2019 seems to continue this positive trend.  After rising last year by about 16 percent, in January-March 2019, roundwood prices have picked up by 13.9% over the same quarter of last year.
