Poland\u2019s Paged Plywood is changing the way it approaches domestic and international markets, putting its former export sales director in charge of the entire commercial operation while shifting its previous sales chief to lead the group's Polish distribution business.<\/p>\n
The changes, effective from August 1, point to a clearer division between the two sales channels. Paged Plywood will put more weight on exports and higher-value plywood products, while Paged Trade will concentrate on domestic distribution. The company is effectively separating the task of selling manufactured products internationally from building a broader route to customers in Poland.<\/p>\n
Stanislav Podlucky (second from left in the above photo) has joined the management board of Paged Plywood as Chief Commercial Officer, taking responsibility for sales, marketing and product management. He has spent eight years at the company and previously managed export sales.<\/p>\n
His appointment comes as the producer seeks to increase the contribution of specialised plywood rather than relying solely on standard panel volumes. Paged has identified international markets and products with higher margins and more specialised applications as areas where it wants to develop its business.<\/p>\n
Podlucky said his priorities would include strengthening the company's position abroad and expanding its higher value-added product range, alongside supporting sales in Poland.<\/p>\n
Domestic distribution gets separate focus<\/strong><\/p>\n Jaros\u0142aw Wasiuk (first from right in the photo), previously responsible for sales and marketing on the Paged Plywood management board, has moved to Paged Trade as president. He replaces Marzena Tyc-Paulin, who stepped down at the end of July and has subsequently become domestic sales director at Paged Plywood.<\/p>\n The reshuffle leaves Paged with two distinct routes to market. The manufacturing company remains responsible for developing international business and its plywood portfolio, while Paged Trade provides a distribution channel aimed primarily at Polish customers.<\/p>\n Paged Plywood president Przemys\u0142aw K\u0142obut said the company wants to strengthen its position in international markets while developing more specialised sales channels. The changes therefore amount to a reallocation of existing commercial management rather than an expansion of the management structure from outside the business.<\/p>\n They also come while Paged is reducing activity elsewhere in Poland. Its wood operation in Bartoszyce is scheduled to cease operating in August, with contracts terminated for 24 of the site's 26 employees.<\/p>\n About Paged Plywood<\/strong><\/p>\n Paged Plywood is a Polish plywood manufacturer with production in Poland and Estonia and is among the larger plywood producers in the European Union. Together with the businesses operating under the Paged name, it employs more than 1,400 people and sells into more than 40 markets.<\/p>\n Its portfolio includes birch and softwood plywood as well as specialised panels for transport, construction, furniture, interiors, packaging and industrial applications.
