Latvian wood products manufacturer Stiga RM Group exceeded \u20ac100 million in annual revenue for the first time in its history in 2025, as years of investment in higher value-added wood products translated into stronger financial performance despite a challenging international trading environment.<\/p>\n
The family-owned group reported consolidated revenue of \u20ac114.7 million, an increase of 18.3% compared with 2024. Net profit reached \u20ac11.3 million, while EBITDA exceeded \u20ac25 million, reflecting strong operating profitability across the group's wood processing businesses.<\/p>\n
The results come as many European wood manufacturers continue to operate under pressure from weak construction activity and subdued demand in several export markets. Rather than scaling back investment, Stiga RM accelerated capital spending, investing \u20ac40 million during 2025 while employing 616 people across Latvia's Kurzeme and Zemgale regions.<\/p>\n
Investments shift production towards higher value-added products<\/strong><\/p>\n According to Andris Ramoli\u0146\u0161, owner and Chairman of the Management Board, the financial results reflect a long-term strategy focused on increasing the value generated from every cubic metre of timber rather than simply expanding production volumes.<\/p>\n \"We achieved this milestone by consistently investing in higher value-added products,\" Ramoli\u0146\u0161 said, adding that the company continued investing in automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and digital management systems while adapting its export strategy after US import tariffs affected part of its business.<\/p>\n One of the company's largest projects entered commercial operation in 2026 with the opening of a \u20ac34 million Wood Wool Cement Board (WWCB) factory in Tukums. The fully automated facility is designed to produce more than 4.5 million square metres of acoustic and construction panels annually, with approximately 98% of production destined for export markets.<\/p>\n The company estimates the new factory could increase Latvia's annual exports by more than \u20ac55 million once production reaches planned capacity.<\/p>\n Stiga RM has also expanded its engineered wood business through a new birch plywood further-processing plant in Kuld\u012bga.
