S\u00f6dra Wood Danmark A\/S has agreed to sell its Bioenergy, Project Sales and Interior Wood divisions in a transaction expected to close in September. The agreement includes the three business units, their employees and the associated commercial activities. Financial terms were not disclosed.<\/p>\n
The buyer, Germany's Br\u00fcning Group, is a Bremen-based supplier of biomass and renewable raw materials with operations across Europe. The company trades wood chips, bark, recycled wood, recovered fuels and other forest-based products and has steadily expanded its international presence in recent years. Earlier this year, it established Br\u00fcning Group Finland Oy, further strengthening its footprint in the Nordic market.<\/p>\n
\"The acquisition broadens our activities in Denmark and adds new business areas to our portfolio,\"<\/em> Arnd Br\u00fcning, Managing Director of Br\u00fcning Group, said. He added that the company plans to combine its international trading network with S\u00f6dra Wood Danmark's experience and market expertise in Denmark.<\/p>\n For Br\u00fcning, the acquisition goes beyond its traditional bioenergy business. In addition to the Bioenergy division, the company will take over S\u00f6dra Wood Danmark's Project Sales and Interior Wood operations, expanding into timber distribution and supplying wood products for construction projects and interior applications.<\/p>\n S\u00f6dra Wood Danmark serves builders' merchants, manufacturers and construction companies across Denmark with a broad portfolio of timber products and value-added wood solutions. Rather than divesting its entire Danish business, S\u00f6dra Wood has opted to transfer selected commercial divisions while continuing its remaining operations in the country as it sharpens its focus on its core wood processing activities.<\/p>\n Once the transaction is completed, the acquired businesses and employees will be integrated into Br\u00fcning Group Danmark ApS.
