Austrian wood products manufacturer HS Timber Group has completed the acquisition of Mal\u00e5 S\u00e5g AB, expanding its footprint in Scandinavia and adding one of northern Sweden's established pine sawmills to its production network.<\/p>\n
The transaction became effective on 1 July 2026, following the signing of the agreement earlier this year. The Swedish operation will now operate under the name Mal\u00e5 Timber, becoming part of HS Timber Group's international manufacturing platform.<\/p>\n
The acquisition marks the company's latest investment in Northern Europe and strengthens its position in the Nordic softwood market, particularly in high-grade pine products sourced from Sweden's boreal forests.<\/p>\n
