Average prices for deliveries from the company\u2019s own forests also fell by 8% compared with the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"389\" data-end=\"792\">CEO <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Erik Brandsma<\/span><\/span> commented that despite structural changes in the forest industry and difficult market conditions, the company delivered a stable operating result for the quarter.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"794\" data-end=\"1179\">Sveaskog also updated its green financing framework during the quarter, expanding it to include renewable energy projects such as wind and solar. The framework is aligned with the EU taxonomy and received the highest rating in a third-party verification. The company was also named Sweden\u2019s most sustainable brand in the forest owner category, according to the Sustainable Brand Index.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1440\">For the period January\u2013March 2026, net sales decreased by 9% to SEK 2,122 million (EUR 195 million), down from SEK 2,325 million (EUR 214 million). Wood prices declined by an average of 7%, while delivery volumes fell by 2%. Other revenues remained unchanged.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1620\">Operating profit fell to SEK 678 million (EUR 62 million), mainly due to lower wood prices. Average prices for deliveries from Sveaskog\u2019s own forests declined by 8% year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1622\" data-end=\"1795\">A larger real estate transaction generated a capital gain of SEK 329 million (EUR 30 million), compared with a loss of SEK -42 million (EUR -4 million) in the previous year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"1935\">Income from associated companies amounted to SEK 4 million (EUR 0.4 million), compared with SEK 11 million (EUR 1 million) a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1937\" data-end=\"2108\">The reported change in value of biological assets totalled SEK 165 million (EUR 15 million), compared with SEK -211 million (EUR -19 million) in the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2110\" data-end=\"2318\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Net profit for the quarter reached SEK 887 million (EUR 82 million), compared with SEK 154 million (EUR 14 million) a year earlier, corresponding to SEK 7.49 (EUR 0.69) per share, up from SEK 1.30 (EUR 0.12).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":98542,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"Default","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[5204],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-98541","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-daily-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 -
