One of Latvia\u2019s leading wood industry companies, Stiga RM, continues its rapid expansion with the commissioning of a new birch plywood processing plant in Kuld\u012bga. Alongside its existing birch plywood mill, the company is developing a processing division equipped with modern technologies, expected to increase the value of its production by 50\u201370% while also creating new jobs in the region.<\/p>\n
The new processing facility marks an important step in the company\u2019s long-term strategy, focused on expanding into higher value-added product segments. The newly commissioned plant, covering 4,036 square metres, represents an investment of \u20ac3.09 million. It is set to be equipped with advanced machinery enabling precise milling, drilling and sawing of plywood, as well as new types of lamination. This will allow Stiga RM to expand its product portfolio with innovative, functional and decorative birch plywood products available in a wide range of colours and finishes. The company is expected to announce contracts for production equipment in the near term, while full operations at the new plant could begin as early as next summer.<\/p>\n
