The Polish Chamber of Commerce of Furniture Manufacturers (OIGPM) has sent an official letter to Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Doma\u0144ski, and Minister of Energy Mi\u0142osz Motyka, appealing for urgent support for the Polish furniture industry.<\/p>\n
The Chamber highlights the deteriorating situation in the sector, which has long been a pillar of the Polish economy and a key element of domestic exports. Entrepreneurs are facing growing economic and geopolitical challenges. As OIGPM emphasizes, furniture manufacturers are particularly burdened by the high costs of electricity and fuel, which directly impact production costs and the competitiveness of Polish companies. Additional challenges include rising prices for raw materials and components, falling demand in international markets, and increasing pressure from foreign producers.<\/p>\n
The Chamber also points out that persistently unfavorable market conditions may lead to further weakening of the sector, reduced investment and negative socio-economic consequences, including job losses\u2014especially in regions where the wood and furniture industry plays a key role.<\/p>\n
OIGPM appeals to the government to take decisive and systematic action to support the stability of the industry. Among the most important demands are:<\/p>\n
