Sweden\u2019s forest cooperative S\u00f6dra has announced a new round of price reductions for sawlogs and pulpwood, effective from 20 March, following an earlier adjustment at the beginning of February.<\/p>\n

The company said demand for sawlogs has remained weak in recent months within its operating area and is expected to stay subdued in the near term. At the same time, supply of pulpwood continues to be relatively high.<\/p>\n

Under the latest adjustment, prices for sawable assortments have been reduced by SEK 100 per cubic metre (approximately \u20ac8.7\/m\u00b3). The reduction applies to spruce sawlogs, pine sawlogs, and small-diameter logs (both spruce and pine).<\/p>\n

Pulpwood prices have been lowered by SEK 25 per cubic metre (approximately \u20ac2.2\/m\u00b3) for both softwood and hardwood pulpwood. Prices for fuel assortments remain unchanged.<\/p>\n

The latest reductions follow an earlier price cut introduced from 3 February 2026, when S\u00f6dra lowered prices across all assortments.<\/p>\n

At that time, spruce sawlogs were reduced by SEK 50\/m\u00b3 (approximately \u20ac4.4\/m\u00b3), while pine sawlogs saw a larger decrease of SEK 100\/m\u00b3 (approximately \u20ac8.8\/m\u00b3). Small-diameter sawlogs (spruce and pine) were reduced by SEK 75\/m\u00b3 (approximately \u20ac6.6\/m\u00b3).<\/p>\n

Pulpwood prices were also adjusted downward in February, with both softwood and hardwood pulpwood reduced by SEK 30\/m\u00b3 (approximately \u20ac2.7\/m\u00b3).
