Arauco reported weaker results in its wood products division at the end of 2025, as lower sales volumes and softer demand weighed on revenues and profitability.<\/p>\n
Group revenues reached $1.52bn in the fourth quarter, down 8.6% year-on-year, while adjusted EBITDA fell to $318.6m. Over the full year, earnings declined more sharply, with adjusted EBITDA down 33.9%.<\/p>\n
Within this, the wood products segment \u2014 covering panels and lumber \u2014 continued to lose momentum. Revenues fell to $739.4m in the fourth quarter, a decline of 6.5% compared with the same period a year earlier. The drop was driven mainly by lower sales volumes, which declined by just over 4%.<\/p>\n
The trend continued through the year. Revenues were also down $32m from the previous quarter, again largely due to reduced shipment volumes. Demand remained weak towards year-end, with lower throughput across operations.<\/p>\n
Profitability in the division also declined. EBITDA fell in line with revenues, while margins narrowed as lower volumes made it harder to cover fixed costs. At the same time, costs increased, including higher maintenance and personnel expenses.<\/p>\n
The contrast with Arauco\u2019s pulp and forestry operations became clearer. In the fourth quarter, revenues in that segment increased to $778.9m, supported by a rise in sales volumes of nearly 9%.<\/p>\n
