Production of ThermoWood by manufacturers represented by the International ThermoWood Association (ITWA) in Helsinki rose by almost 10% in 2025 to 312,267 m\u00b3, surpassing the 300,000 m\u00b3 mark for the first time.<\/p>\n
The increase follows another strong year for the sector. In 2024, production by ITWA members climbed by 24% to 285,305 m\u00b3, meaning output has now posted two consecutive years of solid growth.<\/p>\n
According to the association, around 80% of the monitored ThermoWood volume was sold within the European Union in 2025, with the remaining share marketed outside the bloc.<\/p>\n
Pine remained the main raw material, accounting for 56% of total production, followed by spruce at 28%. Output from other wood species continued to expand and reached more than 47,000 m\u00b3.<\/p>\n
The figures relate only to production registered under the ThermoWood trademark by association members. In addition to these producers, other European manufacturers of thermally modified timber are also active in the market.<\/p>\n
