In 2000, Fritz Egger retired as Head of Operations and has served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board since then. He is now stepping down from this position, following the example of his brother, Michael, who will retire in 2022. Walter Schiegl, a former member of Egger's management and a member of the Supervisory Board since 2022, will assume the position of Chairman.<\/p>\n
Fritz Egger and his brothers assumed responsibility in 1982 following the death of their father, the company's founder, Fritz Egger Sr. Through their vision and innovative spirit, the brothers transformed the group into one of the world's leading manufacturers of wood-based materials, today operating 22 factories in 11 countries and employing approximately 12,000 people.<\/p>\n
Speaking about his resignation from the Supervisory Board, Fritz Egger noted: \"Thanks to our values \u200b\u200bof quality, respect, and progress, we were able to successfully overcome these challenges. Michael Egger Jr. now represents the third generation of Egger Group management.
