French wood manufacturing group Th\u00e9bault\u00a0is proceeding with its major European expansion with the establishment of its new LVL-Lambois production unit in the Haute-Loire region of France, scheduled to open in December (2025).<\/p>\n
The new facility, built on a 15-hectare site, will produce laminated veneer lumber (LVL-Lambois) made in France. The investment is designed to reinforce Th\u00e9bault\u2019s position in the counter-laminated wood market, where it is seeking to secure its business through international expansion.<\/p>\n
The choice of the Haute-Loire location was strategic, driven by raw material availability and logistics. Mathieu Robert, the group's managing director, confirmed the decision was based on the region's existing pine and spruce timber resources and its proximity to a silvicultural subsidiary of the Union des Coop\u00e9ratives Agricoles (UCA) of Haute-Loire.<\/p>\n
Robert noted that the company\u2019s technology focuses on efficiently drying the local lumber to achieve an extremely fine veneer sheet of only a few millimeters. He stressed the importance of quality, stating the group is currently concentrating on certification for its wood to enable successful international sales. \"We must turn to the international market... the LVL market cannot wait,\" Robert said.<\/p>\n
To support its growth, the group has deployed a commercial team to promote the use of LVL to architects and master builders for construction projects.<\/p>\n
