Among specific products, kiln-dried white oak prices have declined after a strong run earlier in the year, reflecting both availability and the approaching winter. Red oak production has increased, driven by demand from flooring plants and Chinese buyers, though margins remain thin. Higher-grade poplar and maple continue to sell well, while lower grades struggle to find buyers.<\/p>\n
